Getting Ready for my Hawaii trip

so . . . my bags still are in the attic, my clothes are still in winter hide-a-way, i leave on may 3rd, and i don't even know what fits, after hibernating like a bear with no exercise to speak of. ahhhh the joys of preparation for travel.

the Mary Traveler in Kauai Sept 2010
even though i am leaving on the 3rd, i will not get to Kauai until the 8th because i am spending a few days with my brother Patrick and his family in SF as well as my friend Karen. breaking up a 16 hour flight (to Kauai) at SF is a must if i don't want to spend 2 days folded in half with my knees touching my chin on arrival. getting old is a b----h, but as larry says it sure beats the alternative. i really am looking forward to my SF visit as i has been a long time since i have been there.

it might seem like i am a little on the grouchy side . . .  its because i nearly lost it setting up this d--n blog! i like directions . . . and the instructions are all over the place. you find one answer and it takes you to another page which takes you to another, etc, etc, etc. whine whine whine. well it is done now (i hope correctly) and i sure hope it works. time to try adding a picture, it says i can. that is the whole reason for this thing. instead of e-mailing, i can just post to my 'blog' and let you see what i am up to.  OK lets do it.

  1. Hi Sweetie,

    Ahsley's house looks great.

And you've got your blog looking perfect in spite of a husband who wanted you to take some "shortcuts"! :)

    Love, Larry

Your blog is great; I'm looking forward to seeing lots and lots pictures of Paradise. I'll be an armchair traveler and live vicariously through you :)

    Have a beautiful trip!
